In The Word - Colossians | Better Together: Living in Unity & Partnership
Description
Paul is writing the letter to the Colossians from a place of love because he loves the bride of Christ. Paul wants the Colossians to know that he has been praying for them and specifically wants them to know what he’s been praying over them. The pulse of this prayer is all about unity. Paul is praying for this idea of togetherness. He consistently prayed for the church’s protection, the church’s unity, and the church’s strength. Any church, any local body of believers who are preaching and teaching the gospel is a high-value target for the enemy. Paul didn’t view the churches as competitors but as partners. As the church, we are not in competition but in a partnership to see people come to know Jesus Christ. Not only that, but it is imperative that we do life with people and surround ourselves with other believers because God didn’t create us to do life alone. Listen to this sermon about living in unity and in partnership in the fourth part of our In The Word series, walking through the book of Colossians.
